Every human being knows that they have been created in the image of God but not many know how much value they are of. If you are one of those who does not know how much value you are, this is the time for you to learn. Being unique means that you are different and special for you were fearfully and wonderfully made. In the above text Peter explains the value of every one of God’s children. You are a special species. You are extraordinary. You belong to a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own special people. There was never at any time since creation anyone like this generation or anyone whom God ever called by this title. However a promise of such a generation to which you have been called to be a member was made to Abraham in Genesis 17:6 when God said to him, “and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.” You are actually a fulfillment of this promise to Abraham. The anointing to kingship was instituted by Jesus Christ who according to Revelations 1:6 made us kings and priests to His God and Father. You are unique and not everyone has a revelation of your calling. Just like David, you may be that rare Gem of the family to defeat the Goliath with your hands and save the whole generation. Jesus Christ did not just declare you a king and a priest but He gave you His authority over all adversity as explained in Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” You can therefore issue the same commands which Jesus Christ issued and you will get the same results as He did. Mark 16:15-20 explains to every child of God the extent of the authority given to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ. Furthermore, through the anointing, the very presence of Jesus Christ is in you as He explained in John 17:22-23, “And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one. I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.” When God looks at you, He sees His Son Jesus Christ by whom He prized you. God no longer looks at you in your former state for the former was blotted out and as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” You are a new creation and you belong to a new generation of kings and priests. God ordained you to this royal priesthood for His own special purpose and this purpose is to win souls to Jesus Christ as Christ commissioned you in Matthew 28:18-20. You were therefore called to serve God by declaring His Word to many souls who have not yet received the good news of their salvation in Jesus Christ. You must know that time is running out and it is your responsibility as a child of God to exercise the authority God has bestowed upon you by winning souls to Christ everyday just as Jesus Christ did when He was on earth. Alleluia!

Prayer

Almighty God I thank You for making me unique through Your Son Jesus Christ. I believe that I am a new creation and therefore a peculiar and chosen generation. I thank You for Your Spirit which lives in me and makes me unique. I thank You Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
