I have realized that many people are good at blaming others and they think that they are always right in everything they say or do. If you find yourself always blaming someone or something or finding faults in someone, it is just like pointing a finger at someone. At times you get frustrated because of certain things and you would like to explode on someone by giving them all the blame. That’s exactly what is happening in many nations. People are blaming each other, especially leaders. They do not see the good that has been done, but they always see wrongs and faults. The only reason why you would find faults in your leaders is because you don’t pray for them. You never even think of praying for them and you expect them to be accountable for everything they do. It’s just like a student who has been taught and when he or she writes exams they fail and put the blame on the teacher, yet they did not do their part of studying. You cannot expect to pass when you do not study and make use of all the resources you have been given. In the same way, your leaders need your prayers. It is the prayer which commits them to the LORD so that as they lead, they lead with wisdom from above. They will also be able to overcome temptations and you will find that they will not be any room for pointing fingers. By praying earnestly for these leaders, you are also credited in heaven for showing love by praying for them. The solution is not to try and speak up your mind or demonstrate your opinion so that things will be better, but the only way to make things better is by using the weapon of prayer. Prayer changes things. James 5:16b says, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” This means that your heartfelt, persistent prayer holds tremendous power and produces significant results. Pray for your nation and leaders every day and the Lord will pour blessings upon the nation and leaders. In the above text therefore, just as Paul tasked Timothy who was a man of God to make supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanks giving for all men, kings and all those in authority, government ministers, bishops, all Christian Ministry leaders all over the world, you are also being given the same task. As you do this, you will see that people will lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence, it be in your local community, your country, continent and the whole world at large. You must also task yourself to evaluate and discover where your leader, it be political or Church leader did something which glorifies God and thank God for this. In fact as a Christian it is your duty to focus on the good and not on the evil. As you give thanks, do that which is good, you will find that more blessings will come from God and when this happens even that leader who may have weaknesses will be transformed. You must know that when you are blaming and grumbling and demonstrating against a government or authority, you are throwing curses and this should not be so for a child of God. You must release from your heart the good treasurer of the righteous nature of God which you received from Christ Jesus. Remember that as Jesus Christ hung at that Cross, not even a single word of cursing came out of His mouth even though He was in such great pain. From today, know that God gave you all the authority to transform the world for the better from the day He made you His child and this authority is in the right use of your tongue. Alleluia!

Prayer

Dear Father in Heaven, I thank You for this beautiful country which You have given us. I pray for all leaders that You give them wisdom that comes from You to lead Your people. Fill them with Your love that is unconditional for all Your people. I thank You LORD Jesus Christ. Amen
