BE INVADED BY THE MIND OF JESUS CHRIST

Devotion of the Day

(Romans 12:9)

β€œLet love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.”

Additional Verses
πŸ“– Genesis 18:1-15; Matthew 5:38-48; Romans 12:1-21

Many people today become Christians just because they were born in a Christian family, or maybe their father or mother is a Bishop, Priest, Pastor or Evangelist. When you look at their life style you will be amazed how they are so far from the Person of Christ Jesus. Such people only have a religious outlook of a Christian while their character is exactly the opposite of the LORD Jesus Christ. If you are truly born again, while you continue to possess the same physical features, the new man in you will manifest the mind of Jesus Christ. You become invaded by the mind of Jesus Christ whereby you will be filled with His love. This is what Romans 12:9-21 says about your new nature: “Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the LORD; rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, ‘Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,’ says the LORD. Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” If you can make this your standard for life, then it will no longer be you who lives, but Christ Jesus will take over your personality. Remember that you were redeemed from your former nature which was sin by the Blood of Jesus Christ and He gave you His Spirit who gave you His nature which is the righteousness of God. If you maintain the above mentioned standard, then you are guaranteed eternal life in the Kingdom of God. Alleluia!

Prayer

Thank You LORD Jesus Christ for redeeming me from the nature of sin and giving me your eternal nature and also for making me the righteousness of God. May You giving me the grace to live a life that is pleasing to You all my days on this earth. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen.
