Many people who will have gone through a difficult patch in their lives, once God blesses them through His appointed servants, quickly forget their source of blessings. This was the case with Pharaoh’s butler whose fortunes had been turned around from the moment he shared the same prison cells with Joseph. Because of the Spirit of God upon Joseph, the butler had a dream concerning his future blessing of being re-established under his master, the Pharaoh of Egypt. When the butler narrated his dream to Joseph, God interpreted it through him as follows: “This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days. Now within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your place, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand according to the former manner, when you were his butler. But remember me when it is well with you, and please show kindness to me; make mention of me to Pharaoh, and get me out of this house. For indeed I was stolen away from the land of the Hebrews; and also I have done nothing here that they should put me into the dungeon.” (Genesis 40:12-15). However, when after three days, the butler received his freedom, he completely forgot that Joseph ever existed. Many people come to the servants of the LORD because they are seeking after healing, deliverance, employment or business break-through. Once they receive what they are looking for, they completely disconnect themselves from the source of their blessings. It is important that you remain connected to the source of your blessings as this will actually increase your blessings. In Luke 8:1-3, Mary Magdalene and all the other women who received deliverance from demons through Jesus Christ, they remained connected to Him and partnered with Him in His Ministry to save the world. It was the same for Simon Peter and his companions in Luke 5:1-11. After Jesus Christ blessed them with a big catch of fish, they immediately abandoned their miracle and partnered with Jesus Christ to catch men. Always remember that the blessing you receive of healing, deliverance, employment, business breakthrough or any other blessing is not an end on its own, but it is a means to the end which is your eternal salvation. Eternal salvation only comes when you recognize God through the person He assigns to give you deliverance, healing and breakthroughs. So remain connected to Jesus Christ, through that anointed servant who rescued you from your challenges. Alleluia!
