During this year, God has prepared a plan for you and this plan is of good things despite the many challenges surrounding you. For the good things to happen in your life, God expects you not to wrestle with Him, but to have faith in Him through His Word. His Word is full of great promises for your life and you do not have to resort to self-effort to achieve what God already achieved for you through the finished work of His Son Jesus Christ. Anything that you try to do that is not in line with the will of God, is wrestling with God. There are so many children of God who are wrestling with the will of God and just imagine how terrible it is to want to fight your Creator. What you need to learn is that God’s will for you is great and He will never lead you to destruction. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For l know the thoughts that l think towards you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” He has the bigger picture and He sees beyond any human being. He has structured your life according to what He sees. Unfortunately children of God cannot trust God to let Him lead the way and do His work in them. Sometimes you struggle unnecessarily because you will be wrestling with God. Your destiny in Jesus Christ has been laid out for you by God and it will not change, but the moment you begin to do things in your own power, you stray from your destiny. The end result is you find yourself in such a mess that it will be so difficult to get out of that mess. People wrestle with God because they do not trust Him with their lives. But what does the Word of God say? It says in Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your way.” The lack of trust will cause you to begin to doubt the will of God and you end up trusting your own instincts and in the end you lose sight of God’s plan for you. Remember that it is only animals which were created to depend upon their instincts. But as for you, God created you in His own image and He gave you His Word to be the lamp of your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). You should refuse to let your carnal senses which are limited to this world to rule over you. Rather let your spirit rise above your carnal senses so that you will learn to trust God and you will not have to wrestle with Him. Everything you do should always be by His Grace. Alleluia!

Prayer

Help me Father, to learn to trust and depend upon You always. Help me to also give precedence to my spiritual senses so that I may be able to let You do Your will upon my life. In Jesus Christโ€™s name I pray. Amen.
